Sharon's Guestbook
i think some fans misunderstood what debra said on the a&e special
that aired oct 29.i don't believe debra meant all sharon's fans oogled the
death pictures she knows the true fans would never enjoy looking at something
so awful.she meant there are weirdos that like to look at sharon in death
and debra does not want to remember her sister like that i've viewed the
tape over&over of the show oct 29th and i believe debra was not referring
to the real fans and admirers.
sharon was a wonderful person who we all miss more and more
everyday
Dear Ms. Tate: This website is new to my sister and I. It is beautifully
done. As my sister said, Sharon was of my generation. I remember her very
well. I think the sadness for me is a life left unfinished. Sharon represents
to me a woman trying to be creative and independent yet needing the approval
of others who weren't necessarily the best for her..ie her husband and the
people she guided her career in the beginning. One can talk about her beauty,
which was very real, but it was also exploited as was the rule in those days
in Hollywood. She was fully capable of making serious films about serious
subjects, but very few people saw beyond the physical. I think Ms. Tate struggled
and felt the hurt of being dismissed this way. To finally gain the strength
and maturity to change the course of her life, and, to have it brutually
cut short, is what makes it even more tragic. I think my anger as a member
of that generation, is how easy it seems to have been to disregard her
intelligence and personal goals. To be pregnant alone, without her husband,
who was unfaithful to her up until the end; is a lesson to be learned from
a different era. Sharon's fate might have been very different if she had
had her husband by her side.I think that is why she has become a symbol
today...there are so many layers to the story of Sharon Tate..her murder
being only one of them.I remember when I saw her on the screen, how her warmth
and sweetness came through. I miss it even now all these years later when
I see how tough and unappealing many of the young actresses are. Sincerely,
Judy Wital .
Hello Debra: I left my address in the hopes that I may be able to find
out where I could get a photo of Sharon; if it is possible. I also wrote
a message for you. God bless you all and peace for you and your family.
Sincerely, Jan Wital
Dear Ms. Tate. I was very saddened to hear about the loss of your sister
Patti. She and your mother became heroines for me and inspired me greatly.
I am of your sister Sharon's generation. Her struggles to succeed... to overcome
the constrains of being female in the 50's and 60's were the struggles of
all my friends and and I. Sharon showed great talent and easily could have
become another Carole Lombard. Her beauty was amazing but it was her inner
spirit that shown through like a beacon! I think Sharon has become a symbol
but you are absolutely right: it is for her positive goodness that we should
remember her and honor her as a woman in transition...seeking, growing, and
caring for the world around her. Thank you for sharing Sharon with us and
again, my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of Patti...another beautiful soul.
Sincerely, Jan Wital
Gone way too soon. Such a beautiful woman. Not just physical beauty but
a beauty within. You can see that from her photos and from the rememberences
of those who knew her personally. God Bless You Debra for a wonderful web
site. You have done your sister proud.
What an absolutely beautiful and touching site. I am delighted to see
all of the sites on the world wide web dedicated to Sharon. This site, however,
since it is more personal (linked to Debra Tate) tears at my heart strings
all the more. I am sure Sharon would be truly touched by the love and affection
that so many people show her all these years after her death. What a treat
it would have been to have known this exceptional lady! Thank you for your
wonderful site, and keep up the great work! Cindy Denver, Colorado
All I want to say is that Sharon was absolutely beautiful! No One will
ever be like her!
i feel real bad for what happened to sharon i'm only 15 years old but
that story is very intersting those sick people like manson and his family
sould suffer just as bad as she did cause she did'nt deserve any of it i
watched her story on e! and it was good sharon was a beautyful girl and she
deserved to live her and her baby those people sould rot in h*** but i just
wanted to say sorry for what happened to her and her baby i'm praying for
you guys everynight but i'm really really sorry
Awesome site! Great graphic design, great biographical information, great
photo selection, and I signed the petition! Sharon's life and career shouldn't
be overshadowed by her tragic death. She was a truly beautiful woman, and
her film Valley of the Dolls is one of my favorite ever. Although I'm only
15 and was born long after Sharon died, I find myself drawn to her through
my fascination with old Hollywood and other tragic figures like Marilyn Monroe.
I hope Sharon is resting in peace, and her unborn baby an angel in heaven.
:)
I'm 21, so obviously I've just heard about her. I just wanted to let you
know she is still touching people, people who weren't even alive during that
time. That seems like such a great period and Sharon will always be part
of that, and always remembered. I know she is okay now and at peace. That's
pretty amazing your mother was the first victim to speak at a sentencing!
I know so many people must be so thankful for everything your family has
done the past year. God Bless You!
I watched "E! Hollywood True Story" the other night. I found the episode
quit moving. I am sorry to have learned of such tragedy. I'm sure she would
have been a wonderful mom.
I think that this website is wonderful! It's great that someone is paying
respect to this lovely woman who's life was so brutally taken away from
her.
i see a resemblance between all 3 tate sisters sharon,debra &patti
the first time i saw debra on tv i could tell she was a tate and saw the
resemblance immediately to sharon& patti i wish debra still had both
her sisters here i know they'd all be close. i have all sharon's movies on
video wrecking crew,don't make waves,vampire killers,valley of the dolls,eye
of the devil & the last 13 chairs 12+1 it took me a long time to find
each title but i somehow found them either by mail order catalog or a video
store or on satelite tv i'm definetly a admirer of sharon
Dear Debra keep up the fight and those no good people behind bars
I'm only 14 yars old but when i was reading"Roman by Roman" i cried like
a baby(everybody knows in which moment. I like Roman Polañski and
so i'm very sad.That's @ll.THANK YOU!!!
Debra, I have never lost a family member in the brutal and senseless manner
that you lost your big sister. Thus, I can only imagine the pain and torment
your family has gone through for so long. I find it uterly disgraceful that
Sharon's name continues to be associated with that sociopath. Although I
was not alive when she graced this earth, I have to come to know your sister
through pictures, articles, movies, and this lovely website. I am touched
not only by her physical beauty (who isn't?) but by her inner beauty. What
a wonderful person she was! She was taken from us way too soon. If it be
any consolation Debra, I am certain that Sharon and your mother are looking
down at you from the heavens and are very proud of you. Thank you so much
for picking up where your mother and Patti left off. You will always have
my support and encouragement. God bless you and your family. Steve
I have been touched by the life and death of Sharon Tate throughout my
life, mostly through a series of amazing coincidinces...I was a toddler living
in LA with my parents at the time of Sharon's death. My father was in the
entertainment business and knew many of the same people as the Polanskis.
Our home was just four miles from Cielo Drive. After the murders, I remember
my mother sleeping with all the lights on when my father was on the road.
Ironically, the man originally arrested for the murders, Billy Garretson,
graduated high school with my stepfather, the same school I later attended,
in Ohio. I was allowed to read Helter Skelter in junior high school and it
influenced my decision to major in criminal justice and become a probation
officer. The most shocking coincidence of all came last year, when my daughter
and the daughter of "Rosemary Tate Polanski" (her real last name is Blanchard,
and who claims publicly to be the unborn daughter of Sharon and Roman), attended
the same kindergarten, assigned to the same room. I have seen the crime scene
and autopsy photos of this heinous crime, and I can assure you Sharon's baby
died with her and this woman is a total and complete fraud. When you press
her for details of her claim, she cannot look you in the eye, and actually
trembles. It would be pitiful if it weren't so maddening. She has a lot of
nerve detracting from the memory of such a beautiful person, hurting Sharon's
family with this ridiculous claim. May God bless the Tate family, and keep
them well.

Sharon Tate caught my young eye many years ago...I have not had anything
else touch my heart as much as her story, her beauty, her smile will remain
with us all forever...even in Hollywood.
Sharon Tate was the most BEAUTIFUL person ever. She glowed when she came
on screen, and took over because of her beauty, grace, and talent. She,s
someone I would have LOVED to meet. Debra's SO lucky to have had Sharon for
a sister. And Sharon was lucky to have had Debra, who made this WONDERFUL
website for all of Sharon's DEVOTED fans like me, to see. THANK YOU
I made a webpage to pay tribute to Sharon's sister Patti. May both Patti
and Sharon rest in peace.
