I have no idea who this Karlene Faith person is (sounds like a whacky bible-belt televangilist to me just judging by her name), but she has obviously been ticking people off enough that they feel compelled to write about what they would like to do her here, and various other places. Based on what I've heard, we are simply dealing with an ignorant person. Also, many people write in this guestbook their outrage and frustations over the spectacles that these coldblooded killers constantly make of themselves in their sick attempts to gain freedom. Believe me, fellow Sharon fans - I hear you loud and clear. Personally, I try to not pay attention to these fools, as that is exactly what they want, constant notoriety. However, as mad and angry these'people' make us...I feel this board is the wrong place to vent your frustations about them and their situations. If you think all of this nonsense infuriates us, Sharon's fans, then just imagine how the Tate family and friends-people who really knew her and her family (Robin, especially included for her efforts on this site to help celebrate Sharon's LIFE) must feel about these sensitive topics. I'm sure we can all imagine what their stances on these situations are, and whenever it is time to go up to bat with these degenerates- there has always been a Tate present to clearly define their views (amen to that). My point being, I'm sure the last thing Debra or anyone else who had a close connection to Sharon, needs to read in this guestbook is how horribly Sharon met her demise, or how lunic the assailants and their followers are acting to this day. I'm sure she knows all about it and doesn't need to be reminded of it. Don't get me wrong, I have strong feelings regarding these issues, I just feel this place here is not the proper place to vent our anger. Besides that, it accomplishes nothing. There are many other places on the web where one can go to to discuss their point of view. Probably the most effective thing would be to get a pen and paper and write to the Governor of California, write to the Board of Prison Terms in Sacremento with specific reference to those seeking parole, or anyone one else who may be in a position to reach out for help in regard to these issues. For proper guidance, and addresses the best place to start would naturally be the Doris Tate Crime Victims Bureau. Tell these boards and elected officals exactly how you feel about these inmates- no holes barred. Let's overwhelm them(the board of prison terms) with our opions, from voices not only from the state of California- but from all over the U.S., and around the globe. To me, I can't think of a more poignant tactic to combat these tragedies. Not to mention the most honorable thing to honor Sharon's memory. I am sure that everyone who has in the past expressed there outrage here has done so with the best intentions. I am also sure that you are TRUE fans of Sharon, as am I. I just feel that if all these people who take the time to sympathize by writing here would take the time to express their thoughts where it can actually make a difference- what a great thing we would all be doing for Sharon, the other victims, and Sharon's family and friends as well. Please don't interpret this the wrong way and think I'm 'slamming' anyone who has posted in the past with what I am sure are their best intentions. What I'm trying to say is let's stop reminding the Tate's of the daily antics of these villains and let us all join together in actually making a difference. Thanks for hearing me out, Mark NY,NY

it makes me sick when i read about karlene faith constantly defending these manson women and saying they should be paroled back into society!!especially van houten and atkins.i say karlene faith is a stark raving lunatic! after seeing the bloody pictures of both tate-labianca crime scenes i want to slap karlene faith as hard as i can,she says manson brainwashed poor leslie into doing what she did that is a load of crap!and ms.faith is obiviously full of it!! these people robbed sharon of her dreams and her life and also took her baby's life and 8 or 9 other victims if there is real justice in this world they will all rot in prison and answer to god for what they did

Dear Debra Tate and regardes to all the others of the Tate family This will be my fourth entry on this webpage 'cause suddenly it came to me that I never said "thank You" for this website, so I do it know> "Thank you"! I became so curious about your sister , I purchased the book that was released in 1999, I have two Sharon Tate movies, I think I have read nearly everything about her, good and bad especially on the internet which is a multi medial pigstall, if you want the truth. It seduces people to watch thing's they shouldn't. All of a sudden I realized that this interresst turns out into sensationalism and I think you and your familiy had more of it than you can bear. I am deeply sorry for that. Like I said before there aren't any translations of the King and Bugliosi book availible outside the USA. As far as I researcherd at least there aren't any here in Germany, though the case was hottly disgussed. Whenever you ask anyone about your sister they mention this devil "Charles Manson", they don' t even know the real murderers Tex Watson and this horrible Susan Atkins. These two are the biggest liars and pretenders, what a buffoonery they tell, incredible. At least this other inmate didn't even show up at her parole hearing. Good for her because she knows where she belongs. Believe me, these people haven't changed , how is it possible to change from a heartless killer into a so called care taking christian. I really would like to attend a parole hearing to laugh my goddamned head off when I listen to Tex Watson, the angel, who accidently was insane and killed seven people( that we know of) and then turned into a wise man. This guy is worse than Hitler and so is the other one. They knew exactly what they did and so did most of the Germans who pretended, after the war of course, they didn' t . Believe me, they did. All the people here and that sadens me, know about these incredible lies which were published in international press in summer 1969. Just by her movies, proper translations of the King and Bugliosi book and a wonderful movie about Sharon it is possible to change peoples minds. We can't restore her but we can restore her name. Sadly her death will always mentioned with her. It is also time for DVD's. For instance I would like to see the "eye of the devil". The reviews on the internet movie data base are not that bad and stuff of Sharon is rare anyway. For example, Tex Watson, s liesbook is still availible which supports my opinion about sensationalsm, especially in the USA. If he is truely a changed man, fine with me, than stay in prison for the rest of your life. Finally I support the idea of giving her the well deserved "star on the walk of fame" which she will get, sooner or later, I am sure of that. Finally I have to say that I think she was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. Sincerly Joerg

Of course the fact that the taking of her life at such a young age by a madman, is well known to everyone, I can remember seeing her on Petticoat Junction when I was a little girl. I am sure these were reruns because I was only 22 months old when she died. There is just something about her that I find incredible. I have thought about her all my life and am glad this website is available for us to see. Thank you Debra for doing this.

sharon lives on forever in the hearts of those who loved her such as debra and mr.tate and the family and us who never knew her. susan atkins says she deserves freedom?ha!letting her out of prison would be like spitting on sharon's memory or on her grave or watson or krenwinkel or van houten.i will write letters each time one of those psychos get a parole hearing and let the bpt know these monsters should never get out no matter how rehabilitated they claim they are or the good they claim they have done in prison.and this karlene faith seems to be determined to get these these manson women out. i say karlene faith is nuts for saying such a thing.

Encantou o mundo todo, influenciou as mulheres ocidentais.Até hoje habita o inconciente feminino. Eu tomei conhecimento de Sharon em AGOSTO/1980 assistindo FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS na Tv, e a partir de 2000 com a ajuda da NET eu me apaixonei. SORRY, I DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH.

Sharon was a beautiful girl who deserves to be remembered as she was, alive and vibrant. Her personal style is still emulated in Hollywood, she was a fashion icon. When I think of the beautful women of the 60s I think Sharon Tate comes in first place.

Been fascinated with Sharon for many years after the 25th Anniversary revival over here in the UK! My older sister who sadly died when she was a little girl from Cancer was also named Sharon and was born in Dec1969. I hope Miss Tate gets the star for some recognition after 33 years!!!!

Debra... I'm sure you don't remember me, but our families met in Pasadena, Tx. when Sharon and I were in the first grade at St. Pius School. We were brought together again in Richland,Wa.in the 7th/8th grade. Your father and mine(Col.Richard Mulcahy) served together at Camp Hanford. Sharon and I renewed our friendship, and in the 9th grade we were transferred to Seattle. In 1959 we were excited to be together again in El Paso, Tx. That was the first time we met Patti. My brother, Rick remembers you as the "red head that like to tease me." I remember introducing Sharon her first day of school at Irvin Hi.It was a blast watching the boys reaction to her!Just fell all over each other trying to meet her. In June 1960 we moved to Kansas City, and Sharon and I wrote letters for a time, then lost touch. But I met a girl, Becky Perry, who went to school with her in Italy. We became instant friends knowing we had a friend in common. Through the years Sharon and I would drop a note here and there. My last contact with her was about a month before she went to London. She had responded to my "fan" letter to her. We giggled like school girls about me being a "fan". She was so full of excitment, all her dreams were coming true, but not without hard work. In Aug. 1969 as I sat watching the news in disbelief, my heart was breaking like so many others. For several days I tried to reach your family, knowing only that your parents were in the Pacific Palisades area. But their phone number and address were not being given out. Through the years I've read people's impression of her...the famous and the not so famous. So many of their comments brought tears, but many brought moments of great memories, and laughter. Memories of sharing clothes, and secrets, trying crazy creams and things to get our fingernails to grow (if we'd stopped bitting them that would have helped!). A friend, after finding out that I knew Sharon, asked me what I remembered most about her. Instanly, the answer, without question was her magical way of making everyone around her feel special. And one other thing, she loved her family. One day she told me your mother had been talking to her about becoming a model and the commitment it would take. Sharon said her true life's dream was to have a family of her own. That was one more thing we had in common. After all these years I wish you well as you pick up the banner passed on by your mother and sister. Please know that you and your family have been and continue to be in my prayers always. Please give your father my regards and know that God is with you always. Sharon was a special person because she was "Sharon"...not the movie star, not the wife of a famous producer/dir. She was special because she honored her family and her friends. Love, Pam Mulcahy Stafford

I have always thought that Sharon was a beautiful person. I was really young when she died but I do remember watching Valley of the Dolls and at how regal she seemed. I am just sorry that she died the way she did but I know that she is where God would have her be and that although even though her murderes are in jail that is not enough and they will have to face God one day for all the things they did. Thanks for such a graceful lady and sharing her with us all.

Sharon Tate was without a bit of doubt an amazeing and brave women. She new what she wanted and at the same time was courageous enough to stand up for what was rite, and what she believed in. I would like to see how plesantly different the world would be in 2003 if Sharon were still with us. Sharon you are Loved and Missed. Wayne

Sharon Tate is without doubt one of the most beautiful people in the world. Too beautiful for this world. She may reside in peace in heaven, a more suitable environment for such a heavenly lady. It still amazes me that such a beautiful person can suggest such warmth and pure aura which radiated from her. She seemed modest of her beauty and yet aware. I think she was unique like the whole Tate family it seems. A fine family fighting for rights and rites and maintaining the memories of their beloved Sharon. Elton John said it best about Marilyn Monroe in his song 'Candle In The Wind'. "I would of liked to have known her, but I was just a kid, her candle burned out long ago, then her legend ever will." God bless and peace on you all.

I've just returned from seeing Roman Polanski's penultimate film, "The Pianist." I'm tired, I'm bedraggled, I'm exhausted, I'm emotionally spent. Yes, on the coldest day of the year, I ventured forth to see the Polish filmmaker's masterpiece, and it exceeded all expectations. My God, where to begin? Polanski's genius pervades "The Pianist," the tale of a talented Jewish musician who barely escaped the Holocaust and who survived until 2000, owing to his survival skills and musical prowess. I don't want to give too much away and spoil it for the rest of you, but this much must be said: "Schindler's List" was an excellent film and rightly swept the Oscars for Steven Spielberg - but "The Pianist" far outshines it. Why, you ask? Because Polanski's film bears the inescapable advantage of having a director who experienced Hitler's horror first-hand. Losing his mother to Auschwitz and barely escaping the Warsaw ghetto, Polanski knows of what (and whom) he speaks. Secondly, I am a somewhat hyper woman - indeed, "lethargic" and "laid-back" are two adjectives that could never be used to describe this film buff. But there is one scene, late in the film, that had me - literally - pinned to the back of my seat, my rapt attention riveted to the screen. Polanski shows us the Nazis' overweening evil and inhumanity. He shows us the utter devastation the war wrought upon the film's protagonist. Yet, late the in the film, we are stunned by what we see. A kindly and compassionate Nazi? It can't be! That's an oxymoron! Our hero surviving untold horrors with his skills intact? How could it be possible? But "The Pianist" is a staggeringly brilliant tale of the triumph of the human spirit in the face of unspeakable cruelty. Moreover, it is Polanski's triumph as well. At the age of 69, he has made his most affecting, transcendent film. It's the kind of movie this forty-something woman risked hypothermia for - and is a better person for it. "The Pianist" is the best film of the year - and then some.

Sharon was and still is one of my all time favorite actresses. I just recently finished reading the book by Greg King about Sharon and the Manson murders. I sincerely trust that all of the Family members who had any part in these horrible murders are never paroled. I will always remember Sharon as a beautiful young person!

"The Pianist" is opening this weekend in my fair city, and I am going to be the first in line to see it. How much am I looking forward to seeing it? Here's how much: The sole theatre that this film is playing in is several miles from my house, but if I have to walk the entire way, or part of the way, I'm going to do it. (It's been cold as a witch's t+! in St. Louis lately, but I don't care - either about the temperature or anyone's mammaries but my own....) And if I have to visit the ladies' room and some old bag mistakes me for a man because of my height, well...an androgyne I shall become. Polanski's latest film is garnering praise from critics everywhere, and they are unanimous in their conviction that, alone of all other filmmakers, Polanski is uniquely qualified to tell this tale of a time when unalloyed evil pervaded the earth. Let us hope and pray it does not happen again.

One of my most loved films of all time is the Fearless Vampire Killers. I saw it when I was 9 years old & still watch it more than any other film. In the midst of my childhood fascination with horror the loveliest woman I'd ever seen walked into our tv room. I was fascinated by her & when I discovered she'd been brutally murdered with child I just could'nt believe it. How could it happen to someone so beautiful? To the lady that I always admired...Rest In Peace.

This is a question that only Debra could answer. Exactly how tall was Sharon? I have seen her height written at 5"3', but she looked taller to me, with her long legs. Also, she looked much taller than Roman, so if she was really 5"3', is Roman only 5"tall?
