Sharon Tate's star should be on the HWOF! She was a beautiful woman who proved herself to be a talented actress before her life was taken.

Sharon was a beautiful young woman. Yes, she was talented, but she was also a giving and supportive person...good natured and generous and well thought of by her peers. She deserves to be remembered, not only for her contribution to the art of acting, but for those qualities which she so generously shared with others. She was a rare gift to Hollywood and a priceless one to us all.

Hi there, I recently read an article about yourself and Sharon Tate in one of our local magazines and was very fascinated to what you had said. I'm afraid that I never really saw all of her movies but I did see Valley of the Dolls and was a very moving movie and I'm sure that she would have had a very fascinating and prosperous career and with only good things to follow. So I would love my name to go on your petition for her name to join the hundreds on the Walk of Fame and the next time I'm in Hollywood I will be sure to look her up. I am also going to be passing this website to my other friends as well Good luck, LYN O'NEIL

I think that Sharon Tate was beautiful. I believe that what hqppend to her was a tragedy and its a shame that she is not getting to see how much of a role modle she has been.

I recently watched "Valley of the Dolls," and I was floored at how perfectly Sharon Tate portrayed Jennifer, my favorite character from the book. She magnified (and her image still does) Hollywood glamour, talent and timelessness. I support her for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame whole-heartedly.

Hi again, I wrongly mentioned Mike Mentzer as the boyfriend of Sharon Tate in "Don't Make Waves." It was Dave Draper. I recently got an autographed body building book from him, not M. Mentzer. Just wanted to correct that. Thanks again. Sincerely -- Al Sanchez

Sharon was a beautiful person inside and out. She made an impression on me as a young girl watching her movies; I was devastated to learn she had been murdered. Since then, I have read extensively about the Manson family and their activities over the years. I hope none of the murderers ever receive parole! I am so sorry for your family and your loss.

Sharon was and is absolutely beautiful in every way. There are so many of us out there who have been deeply affected by her tragic demise, even if we never knew her personally (I wasn't born until 79), but she has been and will continue to be for many years my favorite star by far for the kindness that radiated from within. xx oo

I just got a signed book from well-known bodybuilder Mike Mentzer. He played Sharon's boyfriend in "Don't Make Waves." I mentioned to him about how tragic it was with Sharon and you just don't know when your time is up. Anyway, absolutely, she deserves this star and should be remembered in such a permanent way. Thanks. Sincerey -- Al Sanchez

Sharon Tate has always mesmerized me as an actress, since I first saw her in "Valley of the Dolls" as a pre-teen (no, my parents didn't know I was watching it that young!). At that time, she'd been deceased for a few years, although I had no idea back then about how or why (not that there could ever be a reasonable answer to the "why"). It was her performance that transfixed me and my friends. While most of her movies were not exactly classics, Sharon's growth & abilities were obvious in each role. My husband, Mark, has also become a big fan. Before I subjected him to my old VHS movie collection (before DVD's came into vogue, but more on that later...), his only knowledge of Sharon was in relation to a name I shall not mention here (that creature has milked too much attention & publicity from his crimes already, at a huge cost to Sharon & her family). It's an enormous injustice that the media not only attacked an innocent woman after she could no longer speak up for herself, but by also seems to forget about her entirely, except when they can squeeze a little more profit out of dredging up that whole sad history. The impact she had on the movie industry & the era in which she worked has been competely overlooked in the meantime. As a fan, I'm frustrated that she's become such a mere footnote that it's next-to-impossible to locate any of her performances on DVD. I'm also saddened & disappointed that Sharon Tate is not remembered for her craft, but instead for other reasons which really had little to do with her life (only the end of it, through no choice of her own). I imagine that fact must be quite devastating for her loved ones, even all these years later. So much potential was stolen from all of us when Sharon was take away so soon (although from none more so than her family, of course). As a society, let's not forget this gem. Please give her the due respect she's long deserved, which includes a star on the Walk of Fame. It would also be wonderful for her many fans to finally see a talented director at the helm of an honest and fair big-screen depiction of her life. One that has nothing at all to do with its tragic end and everything to do with her development as an actress during the beginning of the modern feminist movement. Its all but certain that Sharon Tate would have gone on to much greater success, if only she'd been allowed the chance. Every other star seems to have been the subject of a movie, many with far less experience or talent than Sharon. It should her turn (but only with the cooperation & approval of her remaining family, as they could then insure that she be treated fairly, as she's rarely been up to this point). Thanks for taking the time to read this.

It is utterly ridiculous that Sharon Tate would not be afforded a STAR on Hollywoods walk of fame. Even though Sharons life was taken away in her prime - I have no doubts at all as to the absolutely stellar career she would most certainly have enjoyed in the years to come. It is ridiculous not to bestow such an honor on one of the most beautiful women EVER to grace the silver screen.

She lost her life and that of her unborn baby because of the fame and glitter of Hollywood, that's what drew Manson to invade her home in the first place. Reality is seldom like the movies, no happy ending. She should have a star on the walk of fame so that people never, ever forget.

I BELIVE THAT SHARON TATE SHOULD GET A STAR, IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT HER LIFE WAS ENDED BY SOME WHITE TRASH LOOSERS CULT ( I WISH THEM TO BURN IN HELL) . IF IT WASNT FOR THAT WE COULD HAVE SEE A LOT OF HER TALENT , I AM ONLY 18 I HAVE SEEN VALLY OF THE DOLLS , I THINK THAT SHE COULD HAVE BEEN A BIG STAR LIKE MARILYN MONROE. I CAN SEE THAT SHE WAS VERY TALENTED AND ALSO A LOVLY PERSON SHE COULD HAVE BEEN A SUCH A GREAT HUMAN TO THE WORLD AS WELL AND DONE A LOT OF GOOD THINS TO THE WORLD.I REALLY THINK THAT SHE SHOULD GET A HOUNARARY STAR IN WALK OF FAME, BECUSE SHE CLEARLY DESERVE IT , BUT SHE DINT GET A CHANCE TO SHOW IT TOO US. NOW WE CAN ONLY ASSUME AND DREAM ABOUT HOW WONDERFULL AND TALENTED SHE COULD HAVE BEEN. SHARON TATE MAY ANGELS LOOK AFTER YOU NOW.

Sharon should be awarded a star mainly because she was a very special sweet person who only comes along once in a lifetime and for someone to be so nice that no-one who knew her ever had a bad word to say about her is very rare indeed (in fact I don't think it has ever happened). Sharon made aa big impact on all of those who have seen her films or pictures and people are still discovering her today. I am sure that if she had lived longer she would have been recognised for her talent and the special person that she was. By giving her a star her life and her uniqueness will be honoured forever and will allow people who perhaps do not know of her yet to discover her.
