Thank you for signing  Sharon Tate's
"Hollywood Walk of Fame"
Star Petition!

Never in the history of films, even today has there been a more beautiful and magnetic presence as Sharon Tate. Her grace and beauty transcends any other actress in the history of Hollywood. One can only speculate the major star she was to become, only to have it taken from her so mercilessly.

Sharon Tate was a light to us all. her character was incredibly beautiful, Hollywoods needs to enshrine such a wonderful woman with a star on the Walk of Fame. She has touched so many lives so deeply that she certainly deserves this award. More people could then learn what a light she was to us all.

Sharon Tate deserves a star on the Walk because her body of work is significant and important compared to that of other entertainers, some of whom have done less and been less well-received by the public, and who have received the star.

I strongly support Sharon receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame due to her film accomplishments which catapulted her to the level of celebrity and transformed her into being an icon of the mid to late 60s, when an atmosphere of innocence and hopefulness existed in pop culture which off-set the turbulance and uncertainly caused from the social revolution and Vietnam War. I can't think of a more appropriate memorial than to acknowledge her in this manner and honour her publicly with dignified recognition. We are morally obligated to ensure she is remembered with respect and pay tribute to her life achievements and career in film and television.

Sharon Tate was probably one of the most photogenic actresses in films, combined with an ability to play comedy or drama with a genuine and believable projection of the character. I think that both "Eye of the Devil" and "Fearless Vampire Killers" are classics. She was definitely a star, and I hope she gets her Star on the Walk of Fame!

A star for Sharon is necessary not only for honoring her memory and accomplishments but to remove the shadow of how she died. Like August 8, 1969, September 11, 2001 was also bad memory that many of us would like to erase. However, many Americans have somehow overcome this tragedy by celebrating the lives and accomplishments of the many who have died as well as the hero's who survived. It would be a tragic mistake if we do not give Sharon the same honor and respect. Pretending the tragedies of August 8, 1969 or September 11, 2001 never happened is like giving the murders extra credit for their accomplishments by allowing the bad memories to standout negatively. Please give her a star. Sharon deserves to shine brightly, not her murderers.

Of course Sharon deserves a star! She was the first actress I really fall in love with when I first saw her in "The fearless Vampire killers" in 1984 (at the age of four). What a beauty, the mother of all Sharon Stones and Heather Grahams! But perhaps it may be a bad compliment just to praise her beauty. She's furthermore the only actress whose picure is always in my mind - gazing out of the window at the snowcapped landscape and the Carpathian Mountains.

To all concerned. My name is Lionel Lopez, I work as a Production Assistant for whatever show i can hope to land on. One of my favorite activities is going to Hollywood Blvd to go hang out, i sit there and look at the stars wondering who half of em are, maybe i'm just too new school. but i now i may not know them they are immortalized forever. from la brea to gower its a great past time for me, and i ask to add Sharon Tate to this wonderous walk. it is something that us her fans will have as a reminder of that star that once gleamed so bright. Thanks

I can´t believe her star is not there yet.. My God, how I loved this woman when I was a teen! She was Afrodite in person.. I swear you, I loved to be face-to-face with Charles Manson now........just me and him.........the son of a bitch (sorry, ok?) would know what the word HATE means for sure... 33 years after...I'm still shocked with that atrocity....

I feel that Sharon should be immortalized on the Walk of Fame. She was a promising young actress whose career was cut short by a senseless, random act of brutal violence. A star on the Walk of Fame will not bring her back, but it will be a small way to show that she has not been forgotten.

Nothing would make me happier than to see Sharon recieve her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Yet from everything I've read about her, she'd probably want the money spent on others. But this is for us -- the ones left behind who see in her brief life and untimely death someone we would like to be more like -- indeed, how rare it is in this world when the outer shell of a human being reflects so accurately the inner spirit. Sharon will always hold a special place in this moviegoer's heart.

Sharon was a beautiful and talented young actress with unlimited potential. Much like James Dean, her career ended before that potential could be fully realized. Couple this with the fact that she was a loving human being, and she easily deserves a star on the famous Walk of Fame. I certainly hope that she is given what she so truly deserves.

Sharon definitely deserves a star on Hollywood Blvd, because she was a brilliant actress and a very very kind person. If she could have done more work, I'm certain she would have been a 60s Marilyn Monroe. Just as lovely, just as talented, and just as ambitious. I normally don't tear up during movies, but "Valley Of The Dolls" had me very very misty-eyed, when Jennifer North's character pops the pills. I don't know the last time *any* actress' portrayal of a character, made me cry.

Sharon Tate was a budding talent and had she lived most likely would have been a major star and Hollywood icon. Although her career was short-lived, her beauty, glamour and her mod look defined 60's Hollywood glamour. She is simply 60s Hollywood and her contiributions to the movie and the industry must not be overlooked.

Now that I have stated my strong feelings about Sharon...I must agree that Ms. Sharon Tate-Polanski deserves a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She, in her tragedy, is part of the folklore of this city-good or bad. A gorgeous girl, seeking fame, fortune, but actually love. And finding her fate in terrible coincidence. Her star should be on the corner of Hollywood and Vine-with a fresh daisy laid upon it every week.
