The obvious question isn't "Why should Sharon Tate receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?", the question is "Why should she NOT receive one?" By age 26, she had already appeared in several films and numerous television shows, and she was definitely on the road to stardom. I'm not fully aware of all the criteria for a celebrity to receive this prestigious award, but if there are any criteria that Sharon Tate doesn't meet, then the HWOF nomination committee should consider loosening the standards in Sharon Tate's case because it is obviously not fair that her career was sadly cut short. I give a definite vote for Sharon Tate to receive the next posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame award.

I believe Sharon Tate deserves a star on the walk of fame because she represents every beautiful, young and ambitious actress ever to step off a plane, train or bus. However, unlike many of her contemporaries and comrades before and since, Sharon stayed unaffected and true. She did not compromise her integrity as a woman. Her continued friendships with ex-lovers and industry folks who did her wrong attests to that. Although I believe(know)Sharon was special-special in beauty, heart and loyalty, there are probably others who possess these qualities and want to make it as actresses, or singers or whatever. Sharon should be a role model for those who don't exploit themselves or others for personal gain. Unfortunately, many people are murdered each year-how many of them can lie in rest knowing they were truly good, and truly loving. At least Sharon can rest with that. She is a symbol of what Hollywood SHOULD be. Rest peacefully Sweet Angel.

Sharon Tate had definite acting abilities, and great talent. She undoubtedly earned her right to have a star in Hollywood. Though she will always be remembered, this honor should be bestowed upon her.

I was young when Sharon passed away. I remember her though. I thought she was a very good actress. I go to the site on Cielo drive where this all took place today and get a very strange and scary feeling. I wonder how these maniacs could do such a thing. I support Sharon for a star on Hollywood blvd. If there is anything I could do to assist please call on me (310) 202-6045...Dave

Sharon Tate was a remarkable person. She is the flower child of the sixtes without being silly and frivolous. She just seems to give off this aura of beauty, gentleness, and confidence that is unique to that time period. She had the respect of many people at that time, and its no wonder. She was a very gifted individual, with many talents. She did an awesome job in Valley of the Dolls, yet she could also pull of the Beverly Hillbillies. She seemed to have a very intuitive and honest way with people. I think to not include her in Holloywood Blvd would be overlooking a great star and neglecting to acknowledge an era in history. Thank you, Katie McGhee

Sharon Tate's vulnerability, warmth and gentleness saved pictures such as the campy, bitchy "Valley of the Dolls." A gift for handling comedy in a unique way is evident in "The Wrecking Crew."

Sharon had a talent that was never allowed to fully develop, but in the short time she acted, she showed remarkable promise. From all accounts, an exceptionally kind person to have encountered, which speaks volumes in that town. And star quality? Loaded with it.

This is a lady whose fans still adore her and miss her even more with each passing day. Time has not diminished, but has instead enhanced her memory and the devotion of her fans. By all accounts, those in the Hollywood community who knew her-to a person- have nothing but the highest praise for her not just as an actress, but even more so as a human being, and those who knew her the best in the entertainment community are unanimous in their support for Sharon to be honored with her own star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Thereofre, I feel that such action, long overdue for one so beloved by her fans and peers in the entertainment industry, should be taken ASAP.

There are two scenes in Valley of the Dolls that I always remember. One when Jennifer is telling Tony how she always hid from her mother the fact that her feet had grown and would need more shoes. I always identified with that. The other is the scene where she almost reaches out to her mother, but silently commits suicide instead. I bawled like a baby. I make a point of always letting people know how I feel and giving them the chance to be better. The Jennifer character had it all and never knew it. What better way of thanking the wonderful actress for her portrayals that touched her audience than with a star on Hollywood Blvd. I heard Charo had one. Please don't let 'hoo-che-cho' take precedence over Sharon who played wonderful dramatic roles and could also crack you up like in The Wrecking Crew.

Sharon was the most beatuiful person ever to grace the silver screen and television. She embody the attitudes and style of Hollywood in the 1960's. Her career could have been limitedless. She could have played Crystal Carrington or Myrphy Brown, starred on her own Sitcom or could have had leads in films like Love Story, Steel Magnolias or Boogie Nights. She would only be 59 years young and would still be a major contributer to the Hollywood scene. Her beauty and talent would still be sort and she would have gone on for still a very long time. As a tribute to her and that era of Hollywood known as the "Swinging Sixties", I petition for her Star on the Walk of Fame on the 33rd year of her immortality.

I think Sharon deserves a place on the Hollywood walk of Fame for sure. I mean i think she's long over due for it personally. How can Hollywood ignore a timeless beauty such as Sharon? This kind of loving beautiful angel only comes around once in a lifetime. I believe Sharon deserves a star already. I can't believe she has not recieved one yet. Pee wee Hermann gets one, but not Sharon? Sharon represented the 60's. It's innocence. Sharon was not only beautiful, but a wonderful human being. I am only 23 years old, and I am a huge fan of her's. Instead of admiring Britney Spears, I admire Sharon. And her death affects me, even though I did not personally know her or was even alive when she died. WE - today's youth, were ROBBED of Sharon, thanx to some monster name Charles Manson. Please give her a star! Sharon deserves one!

I think that Sharon was a one of a kind actress! This is the opinion of a 22 year old. I became fascinated with Sharon after my mother & father decided to rent the movie 12+1 in 1996. She was gorgeous, gentle (according to those who worked with her & loved her), kind, & most of all...She did not appear to have a snobbish personality...like many starletts that I see today! She was giving and did not give in to drug use. From the many stories that I have read about her (& according to the E! True Hollywood Story), she was quite afraid of the idea of using narcotics after she had tried for the first & last time in her life. I admire that kind of honesty. She was not trying to hide anything, & she was also sending out a good message to her fans when she said that drugs "probably would've destroyed her." AND REMEMBER, this was in the 1960's when drugs were part of the main stream. In the 1960's, when many stars had accepted the ideas of bigotry & stereotypes in the United States, she believed that we are all equal and that we should all "live & let live." She had so much potential to become an even bigger celebrity..until a mad-man decided to put an end to her life. She had comedic talents, dramatic potential, & (if she had had a chance to decide) she could have simply decided to return to modeling. I also believe that she would have been a devoted & loving mother. These are the reasons that I believe that Sharon Tate truly deserves a STAR on Hollywood Blvd. Thank you.

Sharon was the most beautiful actress from my childhood. I was heartbroken when I realized she was one of the victims during the Manson Murders. She deserves a star on HWOF as she surely would have been a major star of the 1970's . Even in the decade when glamour was played down on the silver screen.

Hi, I had no idea about the murder of sharon tate until my granny's sister remarked one day that i looked alot like her. I am only 18 years old and i was intrigued so i researched her on the internet and to my horror found that she had been brutally murdered. I have been finding out about her life and work and found that she was one of a kind a remarkable woman who had a great but short life. She is a role model to alot of people and so I think that she should have a star because she was a star and when people see it they can reflect on her brilliant life. thank you
