I dream of innocence
I picture
you
smiles and flowers
eyes ahead towards the future
Not seeing the end
that sweltering day in August
belly taut with expectation
High up in the canyon
floating in the pool
Madonna who never held her child
26 years and all that's left of that life
are photos and the movies
and the memories
